A: A typical weekend for me usually starts with a cuddle in bed with my dog Luka, followed by trying a new recipe for breakfast, and some sort of workout. I might spend part of the day cooking or baking something special. I love to entertain so in the evening, I often have friends over for dinner, but if that’s not happening I like to try a new restaurant. Sundays are usually a bit more relaxed, with some time spent reading or catching up on a favorite TV show.
A: I started looking into Medicare sales at the end of 2022 and began selling Medicare plans in the beginning of 2023. My journey into the Medicare field began when I was laid off from Google and was feeling the need to switch career paths. I always enjoyed helping people, and I realized the profound impact that quality healthcare coverage can have on individuals’ lives, particularly seniors. I wanted to be part of an industry that not only has a direct positive effect on people’s health and well-being but also allows me to build lasting relationships with clients, something I wasn’t getting from my last job.
Selling Medicare has been incredibly rewarding because it allows me to meet a wide variety of people, understand their unique needs, and assist them in navigating this critical aspect of their lives. Whether it’s helping someone choose the right plan or explaining their benefits, I’ve found great satisfaction in knowing that my work contributes to their peace of mind and overall health security.
A: I’ve always prioritized building genuine, long-term relationships with my clients. By taking the extra time, providing exceptional service, and maintaining regular follow-ups, I’ve earned their trust and loyalty. Happy clients often refer friends and family, which has significantly expanded my reach. I am also working on growing my footprint by creating an online presence though educational videos posted on Facebook and LinkedIn. This content not only helps current clients but also attracts new ones who are seeking reliable information online.
A: When I run into difficult Medicare questions, I have a few go-to resources to find the right answers. First, everyone I’ve connected with at MCUSA has been so helpful and responsive, whether it’s a quick question in the middle of an enrollment, or more complex questions discussed over a Team’s call, there’s always someone to help. Times that I’ve had questions on specific local plans, local agents I’ve met though MCUSA has been extremely helpful in navigating those. I also often check the official Medicare website and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, they have a wealth of up-to-date information and guidelines that are really helpful.
