MedicareCompareUSA Licensed Insurance Agent
A: I love helping people and working with seniors. I feel like I am “ON PURPOSE” and making a positive impact on those I am helping.
A: This is my first year as a Medicare broker. I have been working on the Life Insurance side for the past 4 years specializing in Mortgage Protection, IUl’s, Annuities, and Final Expense Planning. I have wanted to work Medicare since I first got my license, but I was told repeatedly it was a hard and challenging process and no one on my team seemed to know how to get started. I am so glad I finally found my way to MCUSA. I love the work and plan to stick with it.
A: Have more trust in the process. I tend to believe I need to know everything before feeling confident to go to work. I would have reminded myself more often that the learning curve is where the knowledge comes from. I was so nervous being new to Medicare and I worried a lot unnecessarily about the unknown which caused me (and probably those helping guide me) unnecessary stress. Go with flow and know you are 100% supported on this team.
Be aligned with the process but not attached to any particular outcome. Be in the flow and trust the process!!
A: I have been a licensed agent/broker since January 2020 and have been working on the life Insurance side since I started. The day I got my state license I flew to Vegas for our team’s 3-day national convention. When I was at my gate waiting for my return flight home, a young man sat beside me and asked if I was an insurance agent. He noticed my bag of swag from the convention. I told him yes, I was an agent, but I had just got my license a few days ago. He asked if he could give me some advice, and I said yes. He told me to pursue Medicare. He had his own agency in Oregon. This stayed with me all these years. However, every time I brought it up to my upline, no one really knew how to get started and everyone made it feel like it was an impossible goal. Every year I would bring it up again, but no guidance ever came to light.
Finally in March, I put the word out again and was given three referrals. I was so excited that Kerri took a chance on me and then connected me with Taryn. Taryn is a next level Rock Star. She helped me every step of the way. I had to do 2024 AHIP, contracting, and certifications and then turn right around the next month in June and do 2025. I felt like it was too much at times, but Taryn kept encouraging me with her unwavering patience and belief in me. Polly put up with my lack of tech knowledge and helped me every step of the way with contracting and certifying. I’m not super tech savvy but once I learn something, I am a great end user. LOL. I cannot thank Taryn and Polly enough for their patience with me during this time. I know I must have been a challenge. Charle and Tanner have been amazing and very helpful too. I feel so blessed to have been led to this team and I am more excited about my future than ever. I totally love the work. It is a great fit for me and I am so grateful for this opportunity.
