EXCITING UPDATES TO DEVOTED HEALTH PLANS’ HEALTHY FOODS BENEFIT
The following message was sent to agents contracted with Devoted Health Plans.
Attention agents,
Devoted Health has made some exciting new changes to our Healthy Foods benefit for 2022 and we’d love to share these changes with you.
WHAT’S CHANGING:
MORE MEMBERS WILL HAVE ACCESS TO THIS BENEFIT
This grocery benefit is available to more members and offered on more plans than before. And in many markets, the monthly allowance has gone up!
A NEW CARD WITH A NEW LOOK — AND SMART NEW FEATURES
• We’re switching to a new vendor (Solutran). Members will receive notification with a new card, the new toll-free number, smartphone app, and a website they can use to check their card’s balance
• The new card will arrive in the mail before January 1st and members can start using the new card in January 2022
• Members can use the card without keeping track of their exact balance
• The card will not decline if the cost of their purchase is more – they will just need to use a different payment method to make up the difference
• Members will have the ability to check their balance online, and instructions are provided with the card
• Paying with the new card at participating stores will be the only way to use their benefit — we won’t be able to reimburse members.

Note: Members won’t be able to use their benefits at gas stations, convenience stores, or dollar stores

• Member must have an eligible chronic condition to qualify for this benefit

WHAT’S STAYING THE SAME?
• Member’s card automatically reloads every month with money to buy healthy foods
• Members can use the card more than once per month, as long as they have money left on it
• Funds won’t roll over to the next month — so members must be sure to spend the full amount each month
